» The quest for a blank writing pad

Does anyone know where I can find a perforated “legal” pad (bound with glue and/or staples on the top) that is 8.5″ x 11″ which has NO LINES?

AH Rajani ends his quest for a blank writing notepad in downtown Berkeley:

Rhodia classic staple bound padWhen I started to describe to the two clerks at the counter what I was looking for, one of them smiled and immediately blurted out “Rhodia.” Both of them were totally cool with me not knowing the specifics, which only confirms my observation that art store-clerks are MUCH nicer than bicycle store-clerks (want independent confirmation? Just visit Berkeley’s Missing Link Bicycle Cooperative).

The paper and binding quality are superb. Gel and ballpoint pens glide effortlessly from start to finish. The paper is slightly on the thin side, though thick enough so that bleeding is not an issue. Although the cover has grooves in it so that you can fold it backwards, I found the cover to be in the way and cut it off.

Howdy there, just wanted to thank you for featuring my rambling post about the delights of Rhodia. I have to say that I get a bit excited about stationery, especially squared paper, so either the existence of Rhodia Drive means that this isn’t so crazy, or that it is! Either way, your blog is wicked to see!

You’re welcome, Alex. And you’re not alone. This resurrected love for paper is a guilty pleasure I’d really rather stay with me. Thanks for dropping by!

Now if they only made a 3×4 blank pad, my life would be complete.

I hold in my hand, a single sheet of yellow unruled paper perf. at the top!! I CAN’T FIND IT ANYWHERE!!! The president of the company I just started working for had a pad of it and requested 6 more!!! Where Where the heck did he get them!!! Nobody knows and he no longer has the pad!!! I know it is out there!! somewhere!!! and I am GOING TO FIND IT!!!
Looks just like a sheet of legal pad ppr but no lines. I’m going nutz looking for it!
