Here at RhodiaDrive, we take your opinion about the notebook seriously. We may, or may not like and agree with what you say, but we strive to present every point of view. Sure, we can disagree without being disagreeable. Not too long ago, New Yorker Nick of the “popular little black notebook” Black Cover reviewed the newly-released Rhodia Webnotebook. And this is what he had to say:
Recently, word has been getting around of a new Moleskine-esque product called the “Webnotebook,” and we’ve been rabidly trying to get our hands on one. For a while, the only available means were wholesalers selling in expensive large bulk orders, and as much as we like black notebooks, we don’t like them that much!
Luckily, after a few emails, Exaclair Inc., the American distributor of Rhodia products, generously sent us some samples. Thus, Black Cover is proud to present what I think is the first Rhodia Webnotebook review on the internet.

Thanks for the heads-up RhodiaDrive! I’ve been looking around for a review of the webnotebook. Going to college soon and those little 3×4 staple bound pads have been a constant must-have for notes, quick jots and doodling. The only downside is the cover gets a bit worn after much use. I was hoping the webnotebook would cure this with a sturdier cover, but seeing that the paper might not hold up to fountain pen use…maybe I’ll stick to 3x4s for a while more. Love the graph paper and looking to buy some more at the DC pen show!
I just received an email from Daily Planner.com announcing that they are now selling both the Webnotebook and the ePure. I’m wanting to purchase them but am put off by the downgrade in the paper quality as reported by Nick. The feature and design of the books look great but ultimately, for me, it’s all about the paper.
I love mine and have tinkered with it a bit. Once my current Moleskine gets full I’ll dive into the Webnotebook.
I would love if the Rhodia´s product came to Brazil.

I’ve been using the Webnotebook for a couple of weeks and it wins over the Moleskine hands down. The paper is not the traditional Rhoda. It’s much thinner, but isn’ bad at all. My wettest fountain pens do feather a little and there ist slight bleed through, but nothing like what you get on a Moleskine.
I’m a fan and won’t go back to Moleskine.
