20SB meet in Chicago

The Twenty-Something Bloggers (20SB) are getting together in Chicago starting today, June 25  for the first national meet-up and Rhodia is excited to be a part of it. This event, which also coincides with the Taste of Chicago, runs until Sunday, the 28th.

Started in 2007,  20 Something Bloggers has brought together thousands of bloggers from all over the world, and spawned a vibrant community of like-minded, fascinating people who thrive on one another’s support and feedback. The network includes an active forum, more than 250 subgroups, and an endless stream of community events.

A closer look at the new Rhodia Webnotebook by the Offce Supply Geek.

“When I cracked it open and felt the paper, I could immediately feel the difference between the paper in this and my old version.  I was excited to try writing in this notebook because I knew that if I could feel the difference with my fingers, that the difference would be just as noticeable when I started writing with my fountain pens on the smooth surface.  Sure enough, as soon as pen nib hit paper I was impressed with the way the nib would move across the paper with such ease and smoothness…”

The Webnotebooks have arrived!

After a long wait the Rhodia Webnotebooks have arrived . The items are available in two sizes: 3 1/2 x 5 1/2″ and 5 1/2 x 8 1/4″ Covers are hard cover leatherette with embossed Rhodia logo on the lower right front cover. The Webnotebooks are available in black and orange and come with convenient round corners (cover and pages). An expandadle inner pocket with matching color elastic and bookmark in orange for orange covers; black for black covers provide nice and convenient finishing touches. Paper specs are: 96 sheets. Ruled 90 g ivory paper, acid-free, pH neutral, PEFC – 90 g paper for both sizes

They arrived in the US, were inspected and approved.  They are in the process of being shipped now to retailers who placed pre-orders.  This means they should be available in those stores by mid-July.  Vickerey and The Daily Planner placed pre-orders, as well as a number of other local stores.  Please check with your favorite retailer to see when the 90g Webnotebooks will be available.

Brave New Voices in Chicago July 14-19

Youth Speaks Inc., the nation’s leading spoken word organization, is proud to present the 12th annual Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam Festival. Convening the top young poets and spoken word artists, aged 13-19, from across the United States and beyond, Brave New Voices is a one-of-a-kind festival that truly engages everyone involved; from the participants, to the adult mentors and the audience members. Each year, Brave New Voices is held in a different city, highlighting the changing demographics of the country and a new poetic and politic for the 21st Century. For the second time, the six-day festival will be held in Chicago.
