OffBeat Earth has a recent post on alternative uses for all those books. Among them, this sculptures/installations by Tom Bendtsen. The examples are mind-boggling. Most have links to even more paperback (and hard cover!) goodness.

There are these sculptures where people have carved out 3D things inside the books? Is there anywhere on the web where you can watch someone showing how to do those? It doesn’t say here. I bet a lot of people would like to try that!
