I keep them in a box under my bed. The retirement spot.
Class notes on a book shelf for reference. Filled journals go in the closet. Current manuscript in a woven wicker box until the book is completed. Never a need to back up my fountain pen on paper!
I keep them scattered.
Like my thoughts.
But really, I know where they all are.:-P
Interesting timing on this one. I just yesterday gave a dear friend my father’s old Filson briefcase packed with journals–a handful of which are in Rhodia notebooks. She’s keeping them for me while I am out of the country for a year. It seemed appropriate, somehow that these thoughts and musings go in a battered beloved briefcase that itself had known of life’s care and infidelities both!
On a shelf, in a closet. Where they wait.
I keep them in my room, hidden on the closet.
