» Artist Inspiration: Carla Trujillo
Carla Trujillo is a mixed media artist living and working in the greater Cincinnati area. Her artistic journey began more than 20 years ago in New Mexico as a printmaker. She has expanded her art over the years to include mixed media art dolls. She uses a combination of materials like wire, wood, clay, and found objects to create her one-of-a-kind dolls.
I find all of her designs to be incredibly inspirational.

Stephanie, thank you for introducing us to Carla’s artwork and blog. The figures are reminiscent of some petroglyphs I have seen, and also the glass spirit figures by Hopi artist Ramson Lomatewama.
