» Rhodia Responds! Logo to be removed from Webbie pages

After many of you had commented on the Rhodia logo being a distraction on the bottom of every page of the Webbie, Rhodia has responded by removing it. I believe this new version will be seen later this year, and I’ve also heard that there has been improvements made to make the book open flatter. (I’ll report back on that feature when I have a new copy to review.)

With Rhodia’s blog & Facebook presence, we always appreciate feedback both good and bad on our products. We appreciate hearing from you when you review our products on your own blogs and discuss them in open forums like on the Fountain Pen Network.  Your comments can only help to improve what Rhodia has to offer.

Nice! Already love the Webnotebooks 2.0 (and own a few) on account of the size & excellent paper. Always thought the page-corner branding felt a bit too much like the complimentary pads left in hotel rooms, though! ;)

On a serious note, very much looking forward to easier-opening books. As a writer with a disability that affects my hand strength, I’m constantly struggling to keep my favorite notebooks open, and on bad days just give up and use Exaclair pads instead. Any improvements in this area would be greatly appreciated!

Keep up the good work, and kudos for responding to the community! Awesome example of a company with the most analog of products making use of digital tools.

Although the every page logo hasn’t been a major issue for me, I’m glad to hear that the issue of the book opening flatter is being looked into. Thanks Rhodia!

Whoo hoo! There’s a reason this company’s products are so good. They LISTEN!

Can’t wait to see the new ones.

Any news on a graph version?

Not yet, but we appreciate knowing your preference.

I didn’t have much of an issue with the logo in the corner. I would just draw and arrow through it to indicate a continuation of an entry on the next page. I’m still using Webbie v. 1.0 with the 80 gsm paper and have two more to go before moving to the new paper version. By the time I get through these the new ones might be out by then and I won’t have to worry about it. I am looking forward to a flatter open book.

Kudos to Rhodia for paying attention to their consumers.

Huzzah! I love the current webbie, but I think I’ll love the new one even more!

Thank you. I am actually a bit on the fence, leaning towards being annoyed by the logos, so this is a fine change IMO. What really excites me (besides flatter books!) is how well you listen to your customers.

It’s awesome that Rhodia and Exaclair are so into customer feedback.

I think I might have been one of the few who didn’t care about the logo though :)

Power to the correct people.
Too bad molie doesn’t have ears like this.

Got to say I am in the minority that quite liked the logo being there so will miss it. However, if so many were upset by it then I think it is great of Rhodia to respond to what seems to be a preference that puts me in the minority.

The idea of easier opening sounds very nice.

Any news of whether the heavier paper versions (often called V2.0) are going to be made available outside the USA anytime soon? I am seriously jealous of what seems to make a great notebook even better and would love to be able to get it in my country (Australia).

That’s really wonderful that you folks have responded so quickly. I have to say, I’ve kind of come to like the pagely logo! But more importantly, my webbie is a wonderful notebook and it inspires me to journal more often. On another note, I really like the margins. I don’t like too much margin space, but it’s really nice, for reasons I can’t explain or even understand, that the lines don’t go all the way to the end of the page.

I gave a webbie to my cousin to get him into journaling, and now he’s hooked, too!

Hi Duncan – All I know is that the rest of the world will be getting the 90g Webbies, but I just don’t exactly know when.

Thanks for the great news Stephanie.

Will be waiting with wallet open for their arrival.

A pleasure deferred is a pleasure multiplied.

Now, if only we had an A4 webbie there’d be a big journal that just works. I had high hopes for the new A4 moleskunk folio but as usual the paper bleeds on contact with most FP ink. Think large format please, Rhodia!

The logo never bothered me but knowing a company listens to its customers is a big plus.

I was doing some research about notebooks to buy for my next school year, and while I was thinking about Rhodia, seeing the Logo on the pages immediately made me want to change my mind. I’m glad to hear it’s being removed.

Love it! Tho the little bitty Rhodia logo in the corner is much less annoying than the products of some other companies, who insist on printing the word “Notes” at the top of every page in GREAT BIG LETTERS.
