» Yellow Pads
Rhodia makes one pad with yellow paper. It is 8 1/4 x 12 1/2″, ruled with margin. It is not the most popular pad we make, but the sales are consistently high enough to keep it in the mix. 
Since I write with fountain pens, white paper enhances the color of inks (Diamine, Sailor, Herbin) I use and makes the experience of writing more vibrant. But for some interior reason, when I need to take “serious notes” I prefer a yellow pad. I have thought about why this might be and have concluded I associate white more with creativity; and yellow with memory.

I’ve always known off-white paper to be easier on the eyes and funny enough, I choose my ink colors by how they work on paper other than white. I use off-white for journaling and various degrees of white for drawing, painting etc. I specifically use white for idea mapping and brainstorming though I couldn’t tell you why.
I use the Rhodia yellow paper for my everyday work list and always have one available. I think it looks more professional than white.
I like the way the dark red fountain pen ink I use looks on the yellow peper, different than on white paper.
A few weeks ago I found out that there was the Rhodia yellow paper pad. I was thrilled and immediately placed an order with an online retailer. Unfortunately, they sent me the wrong pad, so I still don’t have one! I don’t know what draws me to the yellow pads but I use them at work all of the time. The office doesn’t stock the yellow so I buy my own. I will try again to get myself a new Rhodia yellow paper pad!
Purple of course! I have purple legal pads that I use. If purple isn’t available, blue or white. I only use yellow if it’s required, it just doesn’t agree with me.
I have always wished you made more yellow (canary) pads. In collage, the bookstore sold unlined canary pads which I used with blue ink in a Schaeffer school fountain pen. I think blue on yellow is an unbeatable combination. If you made #16 yellow dot pads, I would buy a ton of them.
