Rhodia and Clairefontaine Paper Colors

Taken on a sunny day with slight editing for contrast. From left to right these are, Clairefontaine 90g, Clairefontaine Triomphe 90g, Webbie 90g, and “R” 90g.

A closer look at the Webbie paper and the paper in the new “R” premium pads. (Note – Webbie 2.0 paper is the same color as the 3.0. 3.0 version removed the Rhodia logo at the bottom of the page.)

Do you prefer white or off white paper for writing?

The Ultimate Rhodia Writer Getaway

This is Joyce Pepos’s writing retreat in Mount Hood, Oregon. (I *LOVE* this!)

From Joyce: “This sweet writing space is located on an old logging deck of 40 years back – which we have turned into a meadow of wild flowers and a large outside fire pit – we also have built a Labyrinth which is dug into the ground five feet deep and 35 feet wide… awesome! Continue Readering »

Confession Time

They say the first step towards change is admitting you have a problem so here goes…

I am not the most organized person. My pride doesn’t want to admit that I suffer from CRS (Can’t remember stuff) but I need help. I’m sure I could benefit from keeping some kind of schedule and a to-do list but that makes me feel as though I must become dependent on something- a date book, computer application… Can’t I just have a personal assistant to tell me what I should be doing and what I need to buy at the store so I don’t forget the bug lights again?

I think it would really help me if you would share your methods for keeping organized – especially if you lean more towards being right-brained like me. Please tell me about your system, and how it works for you.

R by Rhodia Update

The R by Rhodia, our new premium pad, is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. the third week of July.  This means it should be at retailers by early August.

The R was a hit at shows this spring – National Art Materials Trade Association (NAMTA), the National Stationery Show and Book Expo America.  People loved the richness of the paper and the new “soft touch” cover.

The R by Rhodia features blank or ruled 90g ivory paper.  It comes in three sizes – No. 12, No. 16 and No. 18. The covers are orange and black.

Rhodia Drive will offer a “R by Rhodia” giveaway to 20 lucky winners later this summer.

New Rhodia Cover Doodle Photo Page!

Just added a new Photo Page filled with your Rhodia Cover Doodles. Haven’t yet checked out our Photo Pages? These are pages filled with user submitted images. Check them out and start snapping some pics to send me! (The clearer the better.)

What can we do for you?

Here on Rhodia Drive we strive to bring to you a variety of interesting content dedicated to you, dear Rhodia fan. We utilize this space to introduce you to our products and listen closely to your feedback. We’ve even occasionally tweaked a product to better suit your needs. We request and happily share your content- comprised of customer images, (seen our Photo Pages yet?) videos, guest posts, and product reviews. We offer the occasional freebie via our giveaway contests- sometimes allowing you to tell us which products to give away. We keep you informed of where else on the web you can be social with Rhodia- via Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, (You can follow Exaclair or Stephanie) and how to find a local or online retailer via RhodiaPads.com. In my own personal opinion, the best part of the blog is how the most wonderful Exaclair VP of Marketing Karen Doherty allows me to be me and speak to you all in my own voice. Judging from the e-mails and notes you send me, you seem to enjoy my being your Rhodia Driver. (Thank you!!)

That all being said, will you tell us what kind of posts would you like to see more of? Do you like what you’ve been seeing, or would you like there to be more of any particular kind of content, like Flickr Fridays, Blog Shares, creative prompts or Artist Inspiration type posts? Maybe something we haven’t thought of doing yet? Is there anything you don’t much care for? If you’ve got any comments or criticism, we’d love to hear it.

Keeping a Dream Journal

The secret to keeping a successful dream journal is to keep it (along with a pen or pencil) near your bed and to write in it immediately upon awakening. This creates a greater opportunity for retention of what you may have experienced while dreaming. Continue Readering »

Summer beverages to beat the heat?

It was 100 degrees yesterday in Northeastern PA and it looks as though we are heading there once again today. (I’m melting away!)

One of my favorite ways to cool down is with a tasty summer beverage. Last week it was homemade blueberry lemonade, this week my “Rose Fizz.” I make the Fizz with Rose Syrup that I buy at the Indian Food Market. 2 tablespoons over ice then fill the glass with club soda. People have asked me how it tastes and to me, it’s exactly how you would expect a rose to taste – just like it smells, only sweeter. The sweetness of it reminds me of being a kid and that first taste of a new flavor of smooth Italian Ice from the truck that drove around our neighborhood. Watermelon, Bubble Gum… Yes!

Do you have a favorite summer beverage?
