» Read any good books lately?

I have been a fan of Stephen King since 1985 when I first read Pet Semetary at the age of 15. The Stand, Bag of Bones and The Talisman are a few of my favorites and I try to read just about everything he writes. (Though I am not much of a fan of the Dark Tower books.)

I am about 80 pages away from finishing 11/22/63 – which I plan to do today. If you are not familiar with this book, it’s about time travel and an attempt prevent the assassination of JFK. After reading Under the Dome a great but extremely violent book, 11/22/63 is a welcome return to a kinder, more gentle King – the one who brought us The Shawshank Redemption and Stand by Me.

The portal that allows Jake Epping to travel back in time, opens up in 1958. He must live in the past until he is able to try and prevent Oswald (if he indeed acted alone) from killing the president.

Have you read any good books lately?

The Witness by Nora Roberts. A definite must read!

My kids got me started on the Hunger Games trilogy. I’ve read the first two, and plan on reading the third next week while on vacation.

I am currently re-reading George Orwell’s Animal Farm. I remember reading it as a high school student and loving it.

As a daily bus commuter, I read everyday.

I’d uncheck the box that reads

Highly recommend a new political thriller by author Mary McNally Ratto called The Cain Sanction. Available on Amazon.com Page turner. Raises interesting issues about corruption in our government. Thought provoking.
