Aha! A Rhodia colored fountain pen!
One of the very first fountain pens I tried (After my beloved red Lamy Safari) was a Pilot Vanishing Point. It’s an interesting pen in that it’s capless- the nib is retractable at the push of a button. While I didn’t keep this pen very long, (too large for my hands/not crazy about the orientation of the clip.) I know there are many devoted fans of this particular pen.

I love these pens. I recently got a white one with a converter fill. Just a great pen! I buy from Paradise Pen in Short Hills Mall – NJ.
I have two VP, both of which have the Namiki name on them. The newer one is the top of the line VP, the Raden. It has abalone shell in the finish. It is beautiful, and I like it, but I have the same issue with the clip that makes it a challenge to write with. The other one is a black early ninties version with the older body style that has an integrated clip. It is much more comfortable.

I have several VPs and the placement of the clip is kinda inconvenient. When you think about the need to have the nib up with the pen in your pocket, though, there aren’t a lot of choices. Pilot has a slimmer, lighter version of the VP called the Decimo. Maybe you’ll have a chance to try that someday.

The orange Capless was a limited edition released in 2007, and you would have a hard time getting one now. I wanted the following year’s model which was in purple (my old university’s colour) but couldn’t justify the cost.
I own a black, regular model Capless which is probably my favourite fountain pen.
