I don’t know if there is anything I can say right now that you haven’t already heard before. Last year at this same time we had a major ice storm that caused power to be our for days. People weren’t really prepared for it nor were the power companies. While weather prediction seems sometimes to be not much more than a guessing game, I feel as though this time around we may be a tiny bit better prepared to survive through whatever Hurricane Sandy brings about.

Please be sure to have all emergency numbers close at hand and know that there are many smart phone apps created by local utility providers that can allow you to easily report problems or outages.
