Does this look like you? If so, I want you to know that you are not alone. From the mundane to the incredibly important, I know lots and lots of people that save their notebooks. Why do people hold on to them? I’m guessing each person would probably have a different reason but more often than not, I think it’s probably to look back down the mountain to see how far they’ve come.
Why do you keep your old notebooks?

I use my 5 X 5′s for drawing and sketching designs on the go. I like to look back and see how they first began.
Hmm…partly, yes, it is to look back and see where I was and what was happening…(a list of Indonesian vocabulary words, directions to a friend’s house in another state…)… Sometimes I keep them because there is information I might need again or want to reference…Just yesterday, for example, I sought a snip of poetry from a Mexican poet that I know I wrote down in 2010…I sought those volumes and paged through until, voila!
It is always useful to keep one’s handwritten note.
