For the second year, Rhodia has sponsored the 2 Night Stand held this past weekend in Chicago, IL.

What is the 2 Night Stand?

Thinkers & makers dive into a weekend long creative bender. Brilliant concepts and ideas are explored. No deliverables are promised. People come to think, be challenged & collaborate.

2 Night Stand is an invite only event that brings together a select group of creatives to collaborate. The entire creative process is catalogued and posted live online and they consider it a creative growth experience. Visit the event feed for more photos from the event.

Two Night Stand

A few weeks ago I received an email from Jason Schwartz, who asked for Rhodia to consider sponsoring a creative event he was planning called Two Night Stand. It was scheduled for September 24-25, 2010 at The Coop in Chicago. Jason was looking for Rhodia No. 18 – blank and Rhodia No. 38 for each participant.

Two Night Stand was planned as a weekend-long collaborative event where 20 creatives (designers, bloggers, photographers, coders, illustrators, video artists, etc.) would converge to tackle a mystery project together. The entire creative process was to be cataloged online via the website and through social media.

I heard back from him shortly after the event. “We had our first event this last weekend,” he wrote, “and it was a HUGE success. I cannot tell you how amazing (and useful) it was to have all the Rhodia pads for sketching, ideation, etc. Every participant rocked out their pads!”

Rhodia Supports The Blackout : crudmag artist showcase and community fundraiser for West Side Arts

Rhodia recently acted as a sponsor for crudmag’s The Blackout - a showcase of up-and-coming talents and brands poised to make a difference in their local communities and the world. A handful of graphic artists, fashion labels, musicians, DJs, aficionados and media outlets gathered for a special night to celebrate in Providence, Rhode Island for the sake of human creativity and to help raise funds for philanthropic community projects overseen by West Side Arts.

West Side Arts is more than an art gallery. The curators are dedicated to their ongoing outreach programs targeted towards helping the youth, the disabled and the impoverished in the local community and beyond.

crudmag supports their endeavors and proceeds from ‘The Blackout’ will go directly to the West Side Arts’ Laundry Love Project, an initiative to provide laundry services for the homeless in the city of Providence. West Side Arts is located at 745 Westminster Street in Providence, Rhode Island 02903.
